If you're out there and have felt like this when you read the following words, maybe it was even while you were getting ready today or tonight for a get together....read this below because this is great insight no matter if you're a coach in life, or a coach for your children and family, etc... Thanks Carl!
From Carl Daikeler... the very real, CEO of our company:
I know sometimes you will look in the mirror and think "Look at that gut. How can I possibly represent myself to people as a 'Coach'?"
It is that EXACT moment that you have found the reason why we need you as a coach. Almost everyone, at some point, will look at their reflection and be dissatisfied. It's our job to understand that. It's our job to feel how brutal it is to look at yourself that way - in some cases with complete disdain and shame. And it's our job to snap people - and ourselves - out of it. This is not a pretend life where we can't be satisfied unless we are a hard body. And this is not some pretend situation where doing the small daily actions that will help us be lean and healthy need to take a herculean investment in a solution. Doing something, is powerful.
Step one: Never turn on yourself, ever.
Step two: Stop, and remember you are not alone with this reaction.
Step three: Since you're not alone, consider that it might help to connect with other people who would like to change the way they look and the way they feel about themselves. What a gift!
Step four: Be honest with people
Step five: Don't judge people, including yourself.
Step six: Remember you can't do what it takes to get fit unless your body is working well. Do something that will feed your body what it needs to heal, to be regular, and to access energy in a healthy (not stimulative) way. (You know what I use/recommend)
Step seven: Do something, even if it's just a little something every day.
Step eight: Love that you are doing something, don't push yourself by hating until you are done. This is important.
Step nine: Look at yourself and LOVE that you are doing something. THAT'S the win!
Step ten: Pay it forward. Share these steps with other people who would like to feel better as they travel through the timeline of their lives. You'll both be happier for it."
And THIS is the EXACT reason why we coach...we are here to help any woman that feels poorly about herself to take her to the point of feeling incredible about herself! How blessed are we?!:)
